This page in the blog will deal with issues related to prayer. Articles will include teaching about prayer, types and styles of prayer, different prayer postures and other points of interest. Our desire is that Cornerstone Church of Blaine continues in, and grows in, being a house of prayer. Every ministry, indeed every Christian work, should be built on the foundation of prayer and should receive ongoing prayer support. We take this very seriously as we believe prayer, communion with God, is essential in successfully doing the work of the Kingdom of God.
In the Forum section of the site is a forum called Prayer Closet. This is a place to keep up with prayer requests and to pray for one another. There are two segments for requests: one for the congregation and one for other requests. The first is for specific personal requests by or for those who attend Cornerstone. The second is for all other requests for different concerns, events or other people. Occasionally there will be updates for a situation by someone who requested prayer which will enable us to pray more specifically for the person. There is also a section to give thanks for blessings received or for answered prayers. This is really for anything that someone wishes to give thanks to God.
In the Community section is a group called Prayer Warriors. Whether you see yourself as a prayer warrior or not, the group is a place to keep up on events within the church. We have corporate prayer events both in our church and in our community, which are open to anyone with a desire to seek God with others of like mind. The group is also the point to discuss ideas to promote prayer, its importance and effect, within the Body of Christ. If you have a passion for the prayer ministry, join the Prayer Team in the group that will meet occasionally to approve, organize and finalize ideas that come up within the group.
We seek to have a vibrant body that is doing the work of God, bathed in the power of prayer. We look forward to having you join us either within the group or by following along from afar. Let's seek God together and witness Him working in our midst.
